Published System Requirements
Every figure below is transcribed from the WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 Steam store page, checked on 19 September 2026. Nothing was measured by us or filled in from another site’s listing.

Three gaps in the official listing
- Processor. No CPU model or clock speed is given for either tier; the line only rules out 32-bit systems. Anything stronger than that is our reading, not the listing’s.
- Storage. There is no disk-space figure at all, so any article quoting one is guessing. Bear in mind that saves and community database files land in your Documents folder, as the paths in our real-name database patch guide show.
- Performance. No frame rate, resolution or graphics preset is published. Any FPS figure attached to a named card somewhere else is invented.
What the Recommended Tier Changes
Two lines move: system memory from 8 to 12 GB, and video memory from 4 to 8 GB of VRAM. Operating system, DirectX 12, Shader Model 6.0 and the dedicated-card condition are identical in both columns, and the page attaches no extra content or richer visuals to the higher tier. Read it as headroom, not unlocked features.
What the listing hints at, without quantifying: every match in the entire game world is simulated identically and can be watched in 3D, and the game ships over 12,000 AI-generated player portraits. Those two statements are the only clues about where the memory goes. How much of it sits in system memory rather than video memory — and therefore whether the extra 4 GB of RAM or the extra 4 GB of VRAM matters more for you — is not stated anywhere.
Can a Laptop Run WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027?
The wording is strict: a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD card with at least 4 GB of dedicated VRAM and Shader Model 6.0 support. A thin office notebook with only an integrated graphics device does not match that line, and a laptop whose GPU reports 2 or 3 GB falls below the published minimum.
Two ways to check on Windows. Press Win + R, run dxdiag and read the device name and memory on the Display tab; a notebook with two graphics devices gets a Display 1 and a Display 2 tab, and the discrete one is what matters. The same tab lists Feature Levels — 12_0 or higher is what the Shader Model 6.0 condition is asking for. Or open Task Manager, go to Performance → GPU (shown as GPU 0 and GPU 1 on a two-card machine) and read Dedicated GPU memory. That figure, not Shared GPU memory, is the one to compare with the table: shared memory is exactly what an integrated chip borrows from your system RAM. A dedicated card with 4 GB or more clears the graphics line as written; whether the game then feels quick enough on your machine is a separate question, and nobody has published an answer.
If the driver on a discrete card is years old, bring it up to date at the vendor before blaming the hardware — NVIDIA’s driver page for GeForce, your AMD card’s support page otherwise. DirectX 12 ships with Windows 10, so the listing describes no separate install for it.
Is There a Mac or Linux Build?
No. Steam’s application data flags Windows as supported and macOS and Linux as not, and the Mac and Linux requirement sections are empty. If you typed “we are football 2027 mac” into a search engine, there is no installer to find.
- Streaming. Steam Remote Play or a Steam Link style client is the general route for a Windows-only game, from a Windows PC you own. Untested here, and dependent on your hardware and network.
- Boot Camp and compatibility layers. Forums recommend them constantly. We do not claim that either works, because the listing claims no support for them.
- Consoles. Nothing on the page announces a console version, and Steam Deck gets no compatibility statement either — neither verified nor rejected.
The store lists the game under Includes level editor, and the description backs it up: a powerful external editor plus an in-game editor for club, staff and player data. Those tools work on database files in your Documents folder, which is why our external editor guide assumes a Windows machine too.
Controller, Multiplayer and Offline Play
No controller support entry appears on the store page at all — neither a full nor a partial one — so playing with a gamepad is undocumented rather than excluded. The listed modes are Single-player, Multi-player, PvP, Shared/Split Screen and Shared/Split Screen PvP, and the feature list names hotseat multiplayer for up to four players. Steam Cloud, Remote Play Together and Family Sharing are listed as well.
No always-online requirement or online activation is mentioned, and nothing is labelled “offline play” either: single-machine by design, launched through Steam. That is also why tinkering belongs in the built-in Creative Mode sandbox rather than in an online service.
Languages, Ultrawide and Accessibility
English, German and French are supported, and the language table ticks the Interface column only: the Full Audio and Subtitles columns are empty for all three. For a German or French player that means a translated interface and no voiced commentary going missing — audio is not advertised for any language.
“Full 21:9 monitor support” is an explicit feature line, so an ultrawide panel is an advertised case, not luck. Nothing is published for 32:9 displays, and there is no resolution list at all. Under accessibility the store lists Camera Comfort, Color Alternatives, Custom Volume Controls, Adjustable Difficulty and Playable without Timed Input.
Price, Version and What to Check Next
As of 19 September 2026: $19.99 in the US store with no discount active, released 16 September 2026, 100 Steam achievements, and Winning Streak Games GmbH as both developer and publisher. The v1.0 badge on this page is our own label for the launch build; the store publishes no version number.
Once your machine clears the table, the remaining decisions are football rather than hardware: the first week of a new save in our beginner guide, and what the match engine rewards in our tactics and formations guide.
