Board expectations in WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 explained: the Präsidium screen, season goals, popularity, budget requests, member approval and fan work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you get sacked by the board in WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027?
Should I switch off board objectives in WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027?
How do I get more transfer budget from the board?
Your employment in WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 is decided by the Präsidium (executive board), and one screen carries everything the board thinks of you. It is the page most new managers skim past — and then wonder why a season collapses in the transfer window.
Reading the Präsidium Screen
The panel opens with the president’s portrait and four stance lines under Vereinsführung (club leadership): who the president is, how the board itself behaves, its Investitionsbereitschaft (willingness to invest) and the state of the Opposition. In the tutorial save the last three read “Wir haben doch keine Ahnung” (they have no idea), “Solides Wirtschaften ist Pflicht” (sound business practice is mandatory) and “Solide aufgestellt” (well positioned).

Those lines are the rules you are judged by. The presenter’s warning is blunt: make a profit, or at least do not lose around a million a season, because the third line is a duty rather than a preference. In his reading, a well-positioned opposition does not remove you at the next annual meeting, but if results and finances both slide it can take over and dismiss you anyway.
Underneath sit Saisonziel (season goal) with the current position beside it — third place demanded, second achieved in the save shown — the Eigentümer (owners) table with columns for share (Anteil) and interference (Einmischung), your own contract running to 2028 with a Vertrag einsehen (view contract) button, and the Ihre Ankündigungen (your announcements) list. The owners box is empty in this save apart from the note that the club has no majority shareholder, which is exactly why the share-sale route matters later. That last announcements box is easy to underestimate: it replays all five promises you made to the dressing room, such as “Ich setze auf eine Stammelf” (I rely on a fixed starting eleven) or “Ich will eine gute Balance zwischen Offensive und Defensive”, and the board measures your actual selections against them. Play ultra-defensively to grind out draws after promising balance, and the presenter expects the popularity line to pay for it. How the same promises feed the dressing-room meters is unpacked in the morale guide.
Popularity, Objectives and the Sacking Line
The gauge on the left is your standing with the board — 73 in the save shown, under the reminder that you are not yet a member of it. Below it, one line explains how it moves: Aktuelle Beliebtheitsänderung Präsidium am Saisonende wegen Finanzlage — the change applied at season end because of the financial situation. In the tutorial it reads +0, and the presenter estimates that a genuinely profitable season can add up to three points. Money is therefore a survival mechanic, which is why the wage discipline in the wage budget guide matters as much as the tactics board.
The strip at the bottom, Aktuelle Aufgabe Präsidium (current board task), carries optional season objectives. In this save it reports no special task. The presenter cites an example from elsewhere — ten league games without conceding, rewarded with a transfer budget of roughly €2m — and notes he switched objectives off in his first test run but will leave them on for a new save because they add spice. Treat that as a difficulty switch rather than a reward engine.
Asking for Money
Board conversations are booked, not opened. The Gespräch vereinbaren panel on the right offers two appointments — Eigene Karriere/Vertrag and Budgetänderungen — while Situation erläutern stays greyed out. Scheduling one commits the calendar, so the talking points only appear once you sit down: extend contract, decline an extension, request a release to another club, exercise your option, or resign.

Budget requests live in the same flow, and they are finite. When the tutorial manager pushes too far, the president answers with a flat refusal — the budget request for that season is already fully used up.

The side panel that appears here is worth reading about yourself: a progress bar at 10/100, your star row, age, ability hexagon and Fleiß (diligence). Overtime raises diligence and coasting lowers it, according to the tutorial, and the presenter’s experience is that a manager with poor diligence is dropped far sooner.
Fans, Members and Public Image
The Fans hub has three tabs. Allgemein holds the club motto (used in the club museum) and the short motto shown on a stadium video ring, the ultra status, monthly budgets for Choreos, Subventionen Auswärtsfahrten and Spiel- und Spaßmodule, and a city-by-city promotional campaign table with duration in days, effect percentage and cost.

Two details matter for your job. Reimbursing travel costs is only unlocked after a genuinely disastrous away result — the button sits locked the rest of the time. And the two budget lines pull in opposite directions: the game’s own note says choreographies raise your home advantage, while away-travel subsidies shave a little of that advantage back off when you are the visiting side. Every field here also offers Komplett an Abteilungsleiter delegieren (delegate entirely to the department head), which the presenter advises against: a volunteer fan liaison makes the system look buggy when it is simply unmanaged. Read what each department head actually changes in the staff and HR guide before handing any of it over. Mitglieder is the members ledger: a list of perks you tick on and off, a cost-per-member figure, the membership price tiers, and a Mitgliederzustimmung (member approval) ring sitting inside the Verkauf von Anteilen panel — the gate on selling shares.

Approval is earned slowly, and a campaign to raise it runs four weeks — until it finishes, both the recruitment and the support-campaign button stay greyed out.

Öffentlichkeit separates organised fans from nationwide fans and splits your popularity into both. Its buttons — visit a fan club, gift fan clubs for €50, organise a fan-club meeting, send players to supporters — are, on the presenter’s reading, the cheapest fan growth in the game, and he sends his strongest players out weekly to keep the Zufriedenheit Fans mit Betreuung bar green. A charity action costs €30,000 and lifts both the club’s public image and your own.

One toggle on that screen hands a €10 baby romper to every newborn in your city. On a small club it is a nice touch; in a big city the presenter warns it can cost millions and wreck a season’s budget. Fill the stands before you spend here, and let the ground upgrades in the stadium expansion guide do the rest.
