Foire aux questions (FAQ)

What are the WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 system requirements?
The Steam page requires a 64-bit processor with 64-bit Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD graphics card with at least 4 GB of dedicated VRAM and Shader Model 6.0 support, and DirectX 12. The recommended tier keeps every other line identical but lists 12 GB RAM and 8 GB of VRAM.
Can I play WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 on a Mac?
No. Steam's platform data marks Windows as supported and macOS and Linux as unsupported, and the Mac and Linux requirement sections on the store page are empty. Streaming from a Windows PC over Remote Play is the only general route, and the page claims no support for it.
Does WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 support ultrawide 21:9 monitors?
Yes. Full 21:9 monitor support is listed as a feature on the store page, so an ultrawide panel is an advertised case. Nothing is published for 32:9 displays, and the page carries no resolution list at all.
Is there controller support, and can I play offline?
The store page carries no controller support entry at all, so controller use is undocumented. It does list Single-player, Multi-player, PvP, Shared/Split Screen and Shared/Split Screen PvP, with hotseat multiplayer for up to four players, plus Steam Cloud, Remote Play Together and Family Sharing. No always-online requirement is stated.

What Are the WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 System Requirements?

Every figure below is transcribed from the WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027 Steam store page, checked on 19 September 2026. Nothing was measured by us or filled in from another site’s listing.

Three gaps in the official listing

  • Processor. No CPU model or clock speed is given for either tier; the line only rules out 32-bit systems. Anything stronger than that is our reading, not the listing’s.
  • Storage. There is no disk-space figure at all, so any article quoting one is guessing. Bear in mind that saves and community database files land outside the Steam library — in the Saved Games\We Are Football folder of your Windows user profile (EN p. 215; our save and backup guide has the full picture).
  • Performance. No frame rate, resolution or graphics preset is published. Any FPS figure attached to a named card somewhere else is invented.

Two lines move: system memory from 8 to 12 GB, and video memory from 4 to 8 GB of VRAM. Operating system, DirectX 12, Shader Model 6.0 and the dedicated-card condition are identical in both columns, and the page attaches no extra content or richer visuals to the higher tier. Read it as headroom, not unlocked features.

What the listing hints at, without quantifying: every match in the entire game world is simulated identically and can be watched in 3D, and the game ships over 12,000 AI-generated player portraits. Those two statements are the only clues about where the memory goes. How much of it sits in system memory rather than video memory — and therefore whether the extra 4 GB of RAM or the extra 4 GB of VRAM matters more for you — is not stated anywhere.

Can a Laptop Run WE ARE FOOTBALL 2027?

The wording is strict: a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD card with at least 4 GB of dedicated VRAM and Shader Model 6.0 support. A thin office notebook with only an integrated graphics device does not match that line, and a laptop whose GPU reports 2 or 3 GB falls below the published minimum.

Two ways to check on Windows. Press Win + R, run dxdiag and read the device name and memory on the Display tab; a notebook with two graphics devices gets a Display 1 and a Display 2 tab, and the discrete one is what matters. The same tab lists Feature Levels — 12_0 or higher is what the Shader Model 6.0 condition is asking for. Or open Task Manager, go to Performance → GPU (shown as GPU 0 and GPU 1 on a two-card machine) and read Dedicated GPU memory. That figure, not Shared GPU memory, is the one to compare with the table: shared memory is exactly what an integrated chip borrows from your system RAM. A dedicated card with 4 GB or more clears the graphics line as written; whether the game then feels quick enough on your machine is a separate question, and nobody has published an answer.

If the driver on a discrete card is years old, bring it up to date at the vendor before blaming the hardware — NVIDIA’s driver page for GeForce, your AMD card’s support page otherwise. DirectX 12 ships with Windows 10, so the listing describes no separate install for it.

Is There a Mac or Linux Build?

No. Steam’s application data flags Windows as supported and macOS and Linux as not, and the Mac and Linux requirement sections are empty. If you typed “we are football 2027 mac” into a search engine, there is no installer to find.

  • Streaming. Steam Remote Play or a Steam Link style client is the general route for a Windows-only game, from a Windows PC you own. Untested here, and dependent on your hardware and network.
  • Boot Camp and compatibility layers. Forums recommend them constantly. We do not claim that either works, because the listing claims no support for them.
  • Consoles. Nothing on the page announces a console version — the console and GOG picture has its own section below.
  • Steam Deck. The store listing carries no compatibility badge, but the official guide that the listing links does, and it is unambiguous: the Steam Deck is “a very important platform for us”, WAF, NT, WAF2024 and WAF27 “can also be played on the Steam Deck” (EN p. 11), and since WAF2024 the developers dropped the mini fonts and made full use of the Deck’s 16:10 screen (EN p. 158). That page also publishes a recommended controller mapping — left stick as the mouse, right stick as WASD, the D-pad as the mouse wheel, B for ESC, X for ENTER, and L2/R2 on the fifth and fourth mouse buttons, which are the game’s own back and forward keys. Take this as the developer’s statement rather than a Valve verdict: no Verified or Playable badge appears on the store page, and nobody here has booted it on handheld hardware yet.

The store lists the game under Includes level editor, and the description backs it up: a powerful external editor plus an in-game editor for club, staff and player data. Those tools work on database files in your Windows user profile — the editor’s own database lives under Saved Games\We Are Football (EN p. 215), which is why our external editor guide assumes a Windows machine too.

Consoles and GOG: What the Platform Data Says

Re-checked after Update 1 on 25 September 2026: Steam’s platform matrix still reads windows: true, mac: false, linux: false, and none of the store’s 16 category entries — the new Steam Workshop category is now among them — points at a console. No PlayStation, Xbox or Switch version has been announced through any official channel.

GOG, the usual second-storefront question, has an official answer. In the Steam thread “GOG Version geplant?” — twelve replies as of 25 September 2026, up from eight at the 23 September count — developer Gerald Köhler replied on 11 August: “Hi, momentan ist kein GOG geplant. Die Kapazitäten investieren wir gerade noch voll ins Spiel und dann wird man sehen. Wir mögen Steam.” — no GOG release is planned for now; the capacities go into the game first. The growing reply count measures the demand for a DRM-free build, not a change of plan. The one handheld with an official statement remains the Steam Deck, quoted above.

Controller, Multiplayer and Offline Play

No controller support entry appears on the store page — neither a full nor a partial one — so gamepad play is undocumented there, though the official guide does publish a full controller mapping for the Steam Deck, as noted above. The listed modes are Single-player, Multi-player, PvP, Shared/Split Screen and Shared/Split Screen PvP, and the feature list names hotseat multiplayer for up to four players — how a hotseat session actually runs, from the turn structure to the time limit to Steam Remote Play, is covered in the multiplayer and hotseat guide. Steam Cloud, Remote Play Together and Family Sharing are listed as well.

No always-online requirement or online activation is mentioned, and nothing is labelled “offline play” either: single-machine by design, launched through Steam. That is also why tinkering belongs in the built-in Creative Mode sandbox rather than in an online service.

Languages, Ultrawide and Accessibility

English, German, French and — since Update 3 of 14 October 2026, which lists „Additional official language: Italian“ — Italian are supported, and the language table ticks the Interface column only: the Full Audio and Subtitles columns are empty for all of them. For a German, French or Italian player that means a translated interface and no voiced commentary going missing — audio is not advertised for any language. The update’s own language block reaches further still: an Austrian German variant with typical Austrian football terms, and direct support for up to 30 fan language files, „e.g. Spanish, Portuguese or Turkish“.

“Full 21:9 monitor support” is an explicit feature line, so an ultrawide panel is an advertised case, not luck. Nothing is published for 32:9 displays, and there is no resolution list at all. Under accessibility the store lists Camera Comfort, Color Alternatives, Custom Volume Controls, Adjustable Difficulty and Playable without Timed Input.

Price, Version and What to Check Next

As of 19 September 2026: $19.99 in the US store with no discount active, released 16 September 2026, 100 Steam achievements, and Winning Streak Games GmbH as both developer and publisher. The v1.0 badge on this page is our own label for the launch build; the store publishes no version number.
